AHS Resident Education Program

"The program provides first and second year adult and pediatric neurology residents with a foundation in headache medicine education during a weekend session led by experienced faculty in neurologic education and headache medicine."

This is an annual conference specifically for residents interested in Headache Medicine!

You need to submit an application, but if you are accepted, transportation, boarding, and meals are completely paid for by AHS (up to $1500)!

Current Application Process for Headache Fellowships

• Headache fellowship currently (as of 2025) does not use ERAS for submitting applications, but uses NRMP for The Match

• Reach out to individual programs (recommend through the AHS National Headache Fellowship Directory)

• Register with NRMP around the time when rank order lists open (this varies by fellowship subspecialty; see below for timeline)
